Annual Sales Conference

Mountain Empire Promotions just concluded their Annual Sales Conference at the Carnegie Hotel in Johnson City, TN. With several new salespeople in attendance, MEP is certainly positioned for growth this Fall. Multiple new product lines were introduced, but without a doubt, the hit of the show was their newly designed "American Made" line, with all products exclusively made in the USA! This should be their top booking program for Fall 2020!

Fall 2019 Sales

Fall sales at MEP are up substantially this year. Not only do we have considerably more schools, the individual sales totals are higher than last fall. These numbers are driven by nearly 80% of total sales being derived from food sales over hard goods. We fully believe this trend will continue into 2020 and beyond.

Fall bookings

Fall bookings are in high gear as Spring 2017 is winding down and schools are now looking toward making plans for Fall! Our Smoky Mountain Gourmet Cookie Dough line is strong as ever, and our new Southern Traditions line, featuring "Dixie Candles," has received incredible response since the Sales Meeting. We anticipate a banner year with those two lines in particular. Smoky Mountain Favorites is also continuing to makes strides as our fastest growing line, while the new prize program with our "Super Hero" theme is seen as one of the strongest in recent memory!

Fall 2016 Mega Prize Program

M.E.P.’s Fall 2016 Mega Prize Program has been especially well received. The “sports-oriented” accumulative prize program is very appealing to fitness-conscience schools, and the new inflatable rides, slides and obstacle courses will excite the kids to new levels when Mega Party season begins. Also, the giant plush character drawings that we have become know for are extremely popular now with the upcoming summer movie schedule advertising them on a regular basis (i.e. Star Wars, Angry Birds, Finding Dory, etc. etc.). These will definitely help promote your sale!

Annual Sales Conference

Mountain Empire Promotions held their annual Sales Meeting at the Carnegie Hotel in Johnson City last week, hosting the entire sales staff, vendors and office personnel. It was a very informative and exciting meeting with the addition of several new product lines and prize programs. The highlight of the show was the debut of their new “Southern Traditions” catalogue, featuring the newly trademarked “Dixie Candle” line. This line carries upscale soy-based candle products, kitchen gadgets and heavyweight wrapping paper. We anticipate schools combining this line with either Cookie Dough or Smoky Mountain Favorites for an outstanding high quality product offering.

Fall 2015 now in the books

With Fall 2015 now in the books, we are happy to report a 9% increase in volume over Fall 2014. This is certainly welcome news in an industry that has been consistently in decline over the past 7-8 years. Our overall projections were up in nearly every category, with Smoky Mountain Favorites emerging as the biggest surprise, with a 22% net increase over projection! Cookie Dough & Tumblers were also up (even with the increase in Tumbler retails), while the two catalogues showed a slight decline over projection. Bottom line: The food trend continues!

Spring numbers

Our Spring numbers are without a doubt coming in stronger than last spring. Cookie Dough, Favorites & Tumblers are carrying the load in just about every situation. With catalogues sales essentially non-existent in the spring semester, most all schools/leagues rely on the simplest program available, which is typically a food program.

Thanksgiving

With the arrival of Thanksgiving signifying the end of the Fall season, we are happy to report that our Fall projections were again right on target. The biggest surprise of the Fall, however, was the emergence and success of our new Tritan Tumbler line, coming in at a whopping 60% over projection! A large majority of our schools tagged Tumblers with their Cookie Dough or Favorites program and saw it pull on average 30-35% of the sale. The lifetime guarantee and curb appeal of this product made for a instant winner, and cemented its' place in our lineup for years to come.
